WWE Survivor Series: 10 Weirdest Sole Survivor Situations
7. Dolph Ziggler - Survivor Series 2012/2014
Though Ziggler was also the sole survivor during a 2012 Survivor
Series elimination match, which pitted Team Ziggler against Team Foely, his 2014
sole survivor win has stuck in the minds of fans. Unfortunately for the insanely
talented Ziggler, he was merely a prop overshadowed in a moment fans waited decades
to see - Sting in a WWE Ring.
Team Cena (John Cena, Ziggler, Erick Rowan, Big Show, and Ryback) fought against the Authority (Seth Rollins, Kane, Mark Henry, Rusev and Luke Harper). To add more drama to the proceedings, Team Cena’s jobs and the Authority’s power were on the line.
The last two men, Ziggler and Rollins, were mere pawns for Sting and Triple H to ignite their feud. Ziggler and Rollins looked weak as they were both rendered unconscious for an unbelievable length of time. The Game and The Icon stared each other down, before Sting dropped Triple H with a Scorpion Death Drop. Sting draped a limp Ziggler over a lifeless Rollins for the three count. There was only one hero that night: the last holdout of WCW.
