Ric Flair is a two-time Hall of Fame inductee with a storied career. However, his first WWE pay-per-view win was achieved through weird circumstances.

In the first match of the night, Flair, The Mountie, Ted DiBiase, and The Warlord took on Roddy Piper, Bret Hart, The British Bulldog, and Virgil. Team captains, Flair and Piper, each secured a pinfall elimination.

The match soon broke down into a mass beatdown. In amongst the melee, Piper and Flair locked up, with Piper ejecting his rival over the top rope to the outside. Flair remained dazed on the floor as everybody else brawled with no regards for rules. Unable to regain control, the referee called for the bell. He disqualified everybody brawling in the ring, leaving the still downed on the outside Flair as the sole survivor.

Unfortunately, Flair saw fit to celebrate the win as if he’d beat his opponents to their limits. He had not. They used their unspent aggression to send Team Flair packing to nurse their injuries.
