WWE Survivor Series: 10 Weirdest Sole Survivor Situations
5. Big Show - Survivor Series 1999
Big Show has the qualities and attributes to make him the
perfect sole survivor. The monster was in his debut year of WWE where he
crossed paths with some of the Attitude Era’s biggest stars. His Survivor
Series match was built around a feud with the Big Boss Man, who taunted Big
Show over the (kayfabe) death of his father.
Big Show took on Boss Man, Mideon, Prince Albert, and Viscera in a handicap match. To win, he had no choice but to be the match’s sole survivor, but this was of his own choosing. The hour before the event there was a Team Big Show - the man himself, the Blue Meanie, and Kai En Tai. However, on Sunday Night Heat, Big Show crushed his cohorts.
Big Show dominated Boss Man and his Corporate Ministry goons. In under two minutes, he eliminated Mideon, Albert, and Viscera with consecutive chokeslams. Boss Man fled to the back causing a count out.
Big Show ended the night winning his first WWE Championship. replacing a hospitalised Steve Austin in a Triple Threat match against The Rock and Triple H.
