In the introduction to this article, what happened at SummerSlam was referenced. Looking to protect SmackDown performer Randy Orton from further torment at the hands of Brock Lesnar, Shane McMahon was hammered with a vicious F-5. As the intro pointed out, WWE have had this in reserve ever since August.

McMahon vs. Lesnar has a nice ring to it for WrestleMania 33, Shane is exactly the kind of opponent that helps display Brock's brutality. Shane-O-Mac would bump around like a madman for Lesnar, something that's a prerequisite for any Brock opponent.

For that match to happen, Shane first needs to gain some revenge on the man who assaulted him at SummerSlam.

Goldberg is the underdog in his match with Lesnar. Older and rustier, the former WCW man would realistically require help to come out on top. Most expect a Brock Lesnar win, meaning it'd be even more surprising if Shane McMahon were to aid Goldberg in his quest to beat 'The Beast'.

Few would see this coming. Shane helping Goldberg is exactly the type of big-league finish a top WWE pay-per-view deserves.
