Displaying the score between the two rival brands on screen after the match was an incredibly short-sighted decision, obviously telegraphing the final best-out-of-seven decider that'd prevent the show petering out into pointlessness. It'd have been better to let viewers draw their own conclusions, only highlighting the sudden death scenario when it transpired. Yes WWE: your fans can count.

After Stephanie McMahon delivered her own "we shall fight them on the beaches" speech, one that'll surely rub shoulders with Churchill's famous monologue in years to come, the Raw women had absolutely no chance of losing. Such inspirational words lit a fire under Asuka's belly, who showed the sort of raw fury disappointingly lacking from her TLC 50-50 with the departed Emma. With the very real threat of longest reigning Divas champ of all time Nikki Bella nowhere to be seen, the path was entirely clear for the NXT graduate to completely dominate in the way she's meant to, and thankfully, she did.

Asuka was booked perfectly here - but for once, she wasn't the star of the show. That accolade, incredibly, fell to Tamina, who after about two decades learning the ropes finally contributed something positive to a match. The second-generation star whose surname we've conveniently forgotten was brutish but intelligent, and even stole one of the bout's biggest highspots with her Superfly Splash. This was her Sly Stallone in Cop Land moment, a stellar performance most had given up on the idea of ever occurring.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
