WWE Survivor Series 2017 Review
How do you solve a problem like Mahal? Simple: boot him off the card and replace him with the best wrestler in the company. Any questions over Brock Lesnar's oft-doubted enthusiasm dissipated within moments of his incredible, heart-thumping fracas with AJ Styles. It speaks volumes of the WWE champ; even 'The Beast Incarnate', who often seems like he could not care one jot about professional wrestling, wanted to impress his esteemed colleague.
And how. This was as good as anything we've seen from Stamford this annum, with Styles again the chief architect. As with the spectacular WarGames the night previous, the love-in started with a kiss - keeping it simple, stupid. The storyline was basic enough for a parrot of above-average intelligence to follow, but therein lied its effectiveness. How could the hopelessly mismatched North Carolinian stay pace with his towering foe? By attempting to out-wrestle the juggernaut. The underdog, as it so often is during the Macy's Parade, was the star of the Thanksgiving show, and even though Brock's win was as predictable as Monday following Sunday, no-one lost here. Helped that they didn't wrestle in t-shirts, too.
