WWE Survivor Series 2018: 10 Things We Learned
5. Ronda Rousey Is Ready To Headline Regularly
Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair had a lot going against them at Survivor Series.
Firstly, this wasn't the match people really wanted to see. Secondly, Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane tore NXT TakeOver: WarGames II a new one with their Two Out Of Three Falls match on Saturday. Had Rousey vs. Flair flopped then, it would've proven that the women's scene on WWE's main roster is second best.
Thirdly, Ronda isn't actually that experienced in terms of huge pay-per-view matches. She only started wrestling properly this year, and she's only had a handful of memorable showings. It shows how special Rousey is that she was able to overcome all of that, listen to Charlotte, and look totally in-sync with someone who is much more experienced.
If Survivor Series demonstrated anything, it's that Rousey is already at the level where she could handle main event pressure regularly. Her matches carry the same real fight drama Brock Lesnar's do, and that can't be easy to manufacture for someone who hasn't been around the business full-time very long.
