WWE Survivor Series 2018: 7 Things WWE Got Right

6. Crowning Nia Jax The Sole Survivor

First and foremost, it'd be a mistake not to point out why Nia Jax was the sole survivor on Sunday night. She's next in line for a shot at Ronda Rousey and the Raw Women's Title, and because of that (and only because of that), it was the right decision to have her leave LA with fans' boos ringing in her ears as she toasted victory.

At least now Nia has some momentum heading into that sacrificial lamb spot against a pumped-up, p*ssed-off ex-MMA bad b*tch who wants someone to punch following Charlotte Flair's savagery. It won't do her much good, due to fans craving that elusive Ronda vs. Becky Lynch brawl instead, but it's something Jax can hang her hat on.

Survivor Series felt like a mini-throwback of sorts to the time when she was Raw's resident female bully.

That was Nia at her best. The inspirational, body-proud babyface role didn't last long, and she's been floundering badly ever since Alexa Bliss offended everyone ever by calling out Jax for having the audacity to carry a bit of extra weight. This was back to basics for a woman Michael Cole likes calling "physically dominant".
