Daniel Bryan Brock Lesnar Survivor Series
WWE

The intermission from the, ahem, brutal brand warfare saw Buddy Murphy successfully defend his Cruiserweight strap against Mustafa Ali in an entertaining encounter. However, the most notable happening from the match was Enzo Amore - yes, the Enzo Amore - being ejected by Staples Center security from ringside. He's taking his sacking well, we see.

Team Raw made it four for nought - honest - when Braun Strowman handily eliminated four of SmackDown's team - including Best in the World Shane McMahon. Earlier in the bout, Strowman had an altercation with fellow big man Drew McIntyre. The big man was attacked by his teammates after the bell for his gross insubordination.

In the de facto first main event of the night, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey shared a violent contest, with Ronda busted open from her mouth by an early elbow to the face. The match was abruptly ended when Charlotte smashed the Raw Women's champ with a Kendo stick. She proceeded to lay a surprisingly vicious beatdown on the stricken Rousey, badly welting her with further kendo shots, before nastily Pillmanizing her neck. Of course, the crowd booed Ronda out the building, because we can't have stars. The game's gone.

Daniel Bryan's first match in his new heel role brought the absolute best out of Brock Lesnar, who allowed his opponent to make a significant comeback before eventually flooring him with a final F5. Not sure where things go from here with Bryan, but hey ho, they can easily hit the reset button tomorrow. After all, they were pretending Raw won 6-0 on a night when SmackDown won a match, so why not?

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
