OK, so “costs” might not be the right word for this as there is absolutely no way in hell that Brock Lesnar isn’t winning his WWE Championship match and, thanks to the No Holds Barred stipulation, that means it won't be on some technicality. He is beating Rey Mysterio and he is likely beating him at a canter.

However, according to a number of reports, Cain Velasquez has been back in training at the WWE Performance Centre ahead of an eventual in-ring return for the company's Mexico tour. He's not been seen since his relatively humiliating loss to Lesnar at Crown Jewel, and WWE will be wanting to do something to give him a bit of that star power back. Battering Lesnar (either after the bell or with it) looks like the logical step.

Quite how WWE would narratively explain why he elected to do this after his pal had failed to win the top prize, instead of right before, is another question entirely. But little gaps in logic like this have seldom bothered them in the past so, hey, maybe we'll see him.
