WWE must look beyond Survivors into the near future too.

Shotzi has a genuine chance to become SmackDown's counterpoint to Liv - in other words, the blue brand's breakout female star as 2021 comes to a close. Her heel promo-ing has been solid, and being programmed opposite Sasha ensures she'll be featured in a lofty spot every week anyway.

On Sunday, Smackers' green-haired menace has to be responsible for Banks' elimination. 'But wait', you'll surely say. 'Aren't they on the same team?'. Yes, yes they are, but that doesn't mean Shotzi can't blindside Sasha and leave her open to a finisher from Queen Zelina, or somebody like that.

Afterwards, WWE can busily set about the task of lining Shotzi and Sasha up for a grudge match at this Day 1 pay-per-view come New Year's Day. They'll need a few matches for that card too, 'cause attention will quickly turn to the Rumble's build.
