WWE Survivor Series 2021: 10 Things That Must Happen

6. Drew McIntyre Is The Sole Survivor

It's blatantly obvious that WWE fancies building Drew McIntyre up for an eventual title shot at Roman Reigns. The pair had a hidden gem cracker at last year's Survivor Series, and a rematch has been chilling in Vinnie Mac's fridge ever since. Drew challenging Roman is unavoidable.

The big Scotsman's 'Open Challenge' was a huge miss on last week's SmackDown, and that's a compliment to both it and him. Why not give McIntyre the once-vaunted sole survivor tag at the weekend, then keep that momentum spinning into next Friday's episode? Again, Day 1 is imminent and WWE needs all the major matches it can get for that show.

Drew vs. Reigns II would be a neat addition to the card, but it'll only work if the former has a brand-specific claim for that Universal belt. The fact he ruled Raw with an iron fist for much of 2020 is practically ancient history at this stage - McIntyre needs to prove himself on SmackDown.

This is step one.
