Giant Bernard (New Japan Pro Wrestling 2006 - 2012)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GSh9D33wRs It took less than 6 months for Giant Bernard to find success in New Japan. As a recognisable American he was quickly pushed and included in the New Japan Cup. After defeating Yuji Nagata in the final he received a match against former WWE running buddy Brock Lesnar for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Despite losing the match Bernard was already a star and would go on to many successful feuds including matches with Kurt Angle and Travis 'Tyson' Tomko. On March 11, 2007 Bernard and Tomko defeated Manabu Nakanishi and Takao mori to win the IWGP Tag Team Championship. They would hold onto the belts for almost a year before losing them to Togi Makabe and Toru Yano when Tomko signed a full time deal with TNA Wrestling in the States. In 2009 as a member of the mega Heel faction CHAOS Bernard formed a tag team with 'Machine Gun' Karl Anderson. Under the name Bad Intentions Bernard and Anderson would win that years G1 Climax Tag League tournament which secured them a shot at Team 3D (formerly The Dudley Boyz) IWGP Tag Team Championship. The match ended in a double count out. Shortly after this the other members of CHAOS turned on Bad Intentions and they disappeared from NJPW. Returning from a tour of Mexico in 2010 Bad Intentions quickly became IWGP Tag Team Champions by defeating Blue Justice Army (Yuji Nagata and Wataru Inoue) and No Limit (Tetsuya Nait and Yujiro Takahashi) in a 3-Way match. This would begin the most successful IWGP tag team reign of all time (564 days) and would continue until losing them to the team of Ten-Koji (Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Satoshi Kojima). Although predominantly a tag team wrestler in Japan Bloom honed his skills and became a much better wrestler. He would be crowned one of the most improved wrestlers in numerous online and magazine polls and had finally shaken off those formative years as a mid card talent in WWE. Then in 2012 it ws announced he had signed a deal with his former employer in the US and was heading back to McMahon-land.
