Sweet T and Tons of Funk (World Wrestling Entertainment, 2013 - Present)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjIGhv3PG7Q After a disappointing start to 2013 Tensai began a feud with WWE's resident Funkasaurus Brodus Clay. After week's of comedy skits involving the two (Tensai in lingerie anyone?) the two finally began to click and when Tensai agreed to dance alongside Clay following a match it signalled an unexpected face turn for the supposed monster Heel. Shortly after Tensai and Clay formed a tag team and were an instant hit with Tensai managing to get some of the babyface rub from his popular tag team partner. Most recently the term 'Hip Hop Hippo' has been thrown around again much to everybody's surprise and as a result the character of Tensai is no more. These days Matt Bloom is dancing around a WWE ring as Sweet T the funky alter-ego of Tensai and is certainly a sight to behold. For the haters out there who feel this is a new low for the man who was Giant Bernard then you obviously don't see the bigger picture. Bloom has failed time and time again to make it as a monster in WWE's upper echelon and through no fault of his own. He's done everything the WWE has asked of him but the proverbial glass ceiling of the WWE has proved tougher than ever to break through. Sure, as Sweet T he's never going to be a top champion in the singles division but who's to say he wont enjoy as much success as a member of Tons of Funk as he did with Karl Anderson in NJPW just in a different way? Recent squash loss aside Tons of Funk may be the future of the WWE tag team division and if the gimmick fails then at least Bloom's made lots of money and got his face back on TV in the USA. At the very least he could turn heel on his partner or both men could and form a dastardly heel stable instead. At the end of 2012 the future looked bleak for Matt Bloom but for now at least even in a comedy role the future looks brighter than ever.
