WWE TLC 2015 Results: 10 Awesome Moments

5. Alberto Del Rio Stomps Jack Swagger Onto Chairs

Heading into the match, there wasn't much hope that Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger would be anything special. The clash was for the WWE United States Title, but it was hampered by virtue of being the lame duck of the 'TLC' gimmick trio. Swagger vs. Del Rio was a Chairs Match, which hardly sounds like the most inspiring gimmick bout. Making matters worse, fans hadn't really greeted Swagger as a big threat to the recently-returned Mexican. Both men worked hard on the pay-per-view, putting their bodies through the hell of repeatedly being battered by steel chairs. There were a lot of chair shots during the match, and welts were visible on Swagger's back whilst he leaned in the corner. The announcers even mentioned them. For the end, the match needed something impactful. That was delivered when Del Rio delivered his double foot stomp from the top rope. Beneath Swagger was a pile of chairs, which he eagerly bashed against when he landed. The move looked awesome, and helped give the collision a satisfying conclusion despite the uninspiring stipulation and relatively brief length.
