First up though, we were 'treated' to the finals of WWE's Mixed Match Challenge.

The entire tournament has been a bit of a washout, being honest. Everything, from the uninspired choices of who teams with who, the replacements that killed any and all momentum and the Facebook Watch gimmick have contributed to MMC 2 flying under the radar for most WWE viewers.

That changed slightly at TLC, but only because WWE had the smarts to send R-Truth, Carmella, Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox out first on the main show. Fans in San Jose seemed right up for some tag action when all four came out, and they were happy to see 'Mella and Truth pick up the victory.

That was the right call. Mahal and Fox would have been a total waste of those #30 spots in each respective male and female Royal Rumble. Carmella has more credibility than Alicia, and Truth is good for some comedy, so it was the correct decision to have them win.
