Please, contain your excitement.

With no obvious main-event match on the card (neither the WWE Championship, Universal Championship, Raw Women's Championship or SmackDown Women's Championship is being defended on the night) there has been a lot of speculation over what will be rounding out the show. We've seen plenty of non-title matches in that position over the last few years, and none of them have gone down particularly well. I still have nightmares about that Roman/Joe match.

Still though, the feud does feature two men the company absolutely loves, and their rivalry has probably had more TV time than anything else that's going to be on the card. Yes, that sentence in itself is one of the most damning things you could say about how WWE are rounding out the year, thank you for pointing that out.

Given the hokey nature of the build, it's not beyond the realms of possibility the crowd could turn on this match after three plus hours of sitting through the PPV. It would be a shame, because Roman and Corbin categorically do not deserve to get the flak for this but, well, here we are.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
