WWE TLC 2019: 8 Last-Minute Rumours You Need To Know

4. The Fiend Appears

Bray Wyatt The Miz

If you bought a ticket for WWE TLC hoping to see the hottest gimmick currently in the company, you'll have been considerably disappointed to see that it's actually Wyatt's creepy Firefly Funhouse character that'll be turning up on Sunday. The build's still been brilliantly entertaining, but if you paid money for the Fiend you're going to feel shortchanged.

Or maybe you won't.

There seems to be very little logic to the booking of this match, beyond it being a means to add another element to Bray Wyatt's character. Having him unable to overcome The Miz, only to then transform into the Fiend and make short work of him, adds an intimidating string to his bow. The only issue this causes is that it all starts to feel a bit... Finn Bálor-y.

Whatever direction this goes down, and if we see The Fiend or not, it's a fascinating prospect to see Bray Wyatt wrestle as Bray Wyatt for the first time since The Deleters of Worlds were beaten by Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel on an episode of Raw last year. It's been quite the 12 months since.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
