WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Aug 17)

5. Back To Corporate

WWE writing is about as lazy as it gets. After Kane was all hugged out, he turned heel. Since he turns three to five times a year, on average, for the past 18 years, this didn€™t have a lot of effect. To spice things up a bit, he joined The Authority. From a visual standpoint, it was the biggest change of his career, well, next to the time he morphed from Isaac Yankem to Fake Diesel. The suit and tie Kane could have been an interesting turn, had WWE bothered to think of anything for him to do. Kane basically became a larger version of Brad Maddox. He lost virtually every match he was in, fans struggled to care, so WWE gave up on it. He put the mask back on, though, it wasn€™t really long enough for us to miss that look. He was thrown into a major program with Daniel Bryan, but no one could take him seriously after being futile for so long. Last week, Kane turned in his mask again. He was a sad Kane. What did WWE have up their sleeves for this transition? Yeah, he basically just put on a suit again as if he never put on the mask in the first place. It may be time for Kane to take on an Undertaker like schedule at this point in his career, and make his appearances and feuds mean something. He€™s a future Hall of Famer who means about as much as Fake Kane did at this point.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
