WWE And TNA: 8 Worst Moments Of The Week (June 29)

3. Janice Returns!!!

TNA.comTNA.comIn WWE, the most ridiculous weapon that is used to beat another human being is HHH€™s sledgehammer. In real life, you could hit someone with a folding chair and it would probably smart a bit, but they€™d likely be okay. If you hit someone with a sledgehammer, their brain would explode and you would then enjoy a lengthy stay at your local prison. It is, though, very kind of Hunter to cover his hand over the end of the sledgehammer and not actually swing it like a bat. With all that said, TNA takes the cake when it comes to ridiculous weapons. They go up to 11, and then some. For years, Abyss has carried around €œJanice€ with him (which not so coincidentally is the name of Dixie Carter€™s mother). It€™s a giant baseball bat with nails sticking out of it. Unfortunately for him, but fortunately for the lives of others, he€™s only been able to connect with this weapon a couple of times. Usually, he€™s the one that takes the Janice shot to the gut, which is exactly what happened on Impact. Abyss first attempted to use the device on his opponents (murder in the second degree, a classic babyface move) when he missed, Bram took it from him. Then he wound up, and got revenge for his own near-death, and then slammed Abyss, every so gently, of course, right in the gut with it. Devastating! If a weapon would kill someone when they€™re hit with it, it€™s a bad idea to use it. It just looks ridiculous. If you can bring a bat with nails into a hardcore match, then what€™s stopping someone from bringing a knife or a gun? In the future, hardcore matches in TNA will be fought with monster trucks and tanks. They will still draw a 1.0 rating.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
