Steve Cutler & Wesley Blake could be given a way out of Jaxson Ryker's mess.

WWE may be on the verge of repackaging The Forgotten Sons following the controversial Jaxson Ryker tweet that saw the trio pulled from television a few weeks ago.

This is according to WrestlingNews.co's Paul Davis. He reports that while there's currently no word on when Ryker, Wesley Blake, and Steve Cutler could return to television, a source within the company believes that Cutler and Blake (specifically) may be given new characters, as there's a belief that their current shtick doesn't work because of what's currently going on in the world.

Ryker was widely criticised for an ill-timed, ill-advised tweet on 2 June, failing to read the room as he used immense real-world tensions to promote a wrestling catchphrase. The likes of Kevin Owens, Ricochet, and Mustafa Ali all spoke out against this, and with the locker-room seemingly turning on him, the Sons were pulled from TV.

This meant losing out on a pitched programme with SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day. Cutler and Blake were quick to distance themselves from their stablemate's views on social media, but have suffered through association.

The Forgotten Son's last televised appearance came on the 29 May episode of SmackDown.
