WWE: Top 25 Stone Cold Steve Austin Moments

16. "I Love The @#$% Out Of You Guys."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ_OtlMXJ9c After Steve Austin was announced as the new Co-General Manger of Monday Night Raw, everyone knew things would take drastic turns for the chaotic. While his wrestling career was over, his role in the WWE was far from it. With Linda McMahon granting Austin access to the entire Raw brand and power to share Eric Bischoff's responsibilities, Austin's role in the WWE only mushroomed into something bigger and more involving. Austin used his power to great and intimidating lengths, stunning superstars left and right and making stipulations for certain main events that told the audience each and every night that the good old Stone Cold was still there, even if he wasn't wrestling anymore. Eventually the superstars, particularly Chris Jericho, Christian, and La Resistance, were fed up with Steve Austin "abusing" his powers and his overblown power trips. Even Bischoff expressed his dislike for Austin and offered up an idea for Survivor Series 2003: both Austin and Bischoff assemble a team of five to face off, and if Austin wins he keeps his job as Co-General Manger of Raw. But if he lost he would throw in the towel and resign as Co-General Manager, thus leaving the WWE. Come Survivors Series 2003 both teams met up and exchanged an exhilarating ebb and flow up until Austin's team got screwed over by Evolution's own Batista, allowing Bischoff's team to pull of the victory and forcing Austin to resign in Dallas, Texas (where his career kickstarted). After the match Austin came out to the ring and spoke in an offbeat manner to the audience, expressing himself freely that he felt justified his career ended in his home state of Texas. During both the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Eras, we didn't see Austin open up his heart much, if at all. To see him culminate his career in one speech after pulling the load during the Attitude Era and managing the Ruthless Aggression Era, it couldn't have been more fitting. But Austin being Austin, we all knew it wasn't the end of ol' Stone Cold, reappearing in 2004 and still keeping the dream alive. NOTE: There was no isolated video of Austin's speech during Survivor Series 2003. I replace it with a highlight video of Team Austin vs. Team Bischoff.
