WWE UK Championship: 10 Things We Want To See
5. Make It Worth Something
The United Kingdom Championship needs to be built up into a prestigious title. Any momentum the wrestlers and the title have coming out of the tournament needs to be capitalised on and kept going. The WWE can't make the same mistake they did with the Cruiserweight title and let it fizzle away.
Even if it is only going to make sporadic appearances on WWE TV, audiences need to be made to care about the belt; it shouldn't just do the rounds on the independent circuits and then randomly show up on TV a few times a year, as this is a guaranteed way to make the viewers stop caring.
Ideally the UK Championship should be put on the same level as the U.S. Championship as a minimum.
Of course, this all depends on how the WWE want to use the new title belt. If its primary home is going to be the UK wrestling scene, the UK Championship could potentially become a prestigious title quite quickly if the WWE were to really commit to it and promote it well within the UK.
Obviously this would be harder to do with regards to non-British audiences if the belt isn't a regular feature on Raw and SmackDown, but there is a solution to this, which coincidentally, is next on this list.
