WWE UK Championship: 10 Things We Want To See

3. Regular TV Appearances

Even if the belt is primarily intended for the UK wrestling scene, it would be fantastic if matches involving the UK Championship could occasionally make appearances on episodes of Raw and SmackDown.

As a minimum, it should make an appearance on any show filmed during UK tours. Ideally, the championship should also be defended at a handful of pay-per-views as well. It would certainly be nice to think that the titleholder and a challenger or two could be flown out to some if not all of the WWE's 'Big Four' events.

Many of the matches don't necessarily have to happen in front of a WWE crowd. Through the wonders of modern technology, matches in the UK could be filmed and then broadcast on WWE programming. It doesn't need to be a weekly feature, but if the title is to mean anything, regular exposure will be needed.

When the European Championship was introduced back in 1997, it wasn't really featured on television all that prominently once the initial tournament was over. Only after Shawn Michaels decided he wanted the belt to boost his own ego did it start to appear more regularly.

The WWE United Kingdom Championship shouldn't get lost on the independent scene or in some dark corner of the WWE Network. Regular updates and appearances on mainstream WWE programming, if done correctly, should help to make the belt notable and prestigious, even if the main roster isn't where its primary home will be.
