1. Ultimate Warrior Vs Orlando Jordan - NWE Title Match 2008
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KN3J2s-k618 I have included this 2008 Warrior match as a warning of what may come in 2014 .... because in the mind of Warrior, you really wouldn't put it past him wearing the boots again in WWE. In Hellwig's mind, he is the man, the greatest pro wrestler of all time. He really believes it. This 2008 comeback against the atrocious Orlando Jordan shows us that Warrior is in decent(ish) shape. He could probably just about get away with slapping the face paint on and getting back in a WWE ring ... problem is the match also confirms his ring work is as bad as ever. For all our sake let's hope he doesn't compete this year. At one point in this match, which took place in Barcelona, it looks as if Warrior is giving Jordan a cuddle when he is in fact administering a bearhug. The execution and selling of moves is just pitiful. Jordan is as much to blame, JBL's former "chief of staff" is absolutely useless. The finish comes with the weakest looking shoulder charge you have ever seen in your life. On summary, what is my conclusion about The Ultimate Warrior's in-ring legacy? I think he was a product of his time. The big muscles, big hair and colour were what made the WWF great in the eighties. Emphatic power matches had their places. The business moved on though, leaving Warrior a relic. He overstayed his welcome, meaning that his match style seemed atrociously bad in the mid nineties when the likes of Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin were reinventing the industry. Warrior was a good 80's worker, but he was a terrible 90's wrestler.
