WWE Vs. AEW: Which Promotion Does It Better?

8. Roster Depth

This one is a no contest for now.

AEW are only around one year old, and they've only got one TV show (two if you include the supplementary Dark) to worry about filling. Over in WWE, wrestlers are deployed to four main brands, and others are needed for house show work, 205 Live, Main Event and other basement-level programming.

WWE need rosters for Raw, SmackDown, NXT and NXT UK. That's a lot of workers, and the depth required blows AEW out of the water. They might not use it in the best way all the time, but WWE's writers can call upon a wealth of talent to use - whenever a hole needs filled, somebody with skills will be there to fill it.

AEW, meanwhile, need a bit more time to pad out their ranks. Though they're helped by young stars like Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin, that's not quite enough to put them ahead of Vinnie Mac's league here. He has well over 200 wrestlers under contract, for crying out loud. That's serious (and probably unnecessary) depth.
