Not everyone who loves superheroes watches wrestling. Just like not every wrestling fan reads comic books. But the number of fans who cross over into both mediums runs well into the thousands.

Both genres feature the same core elements. The struggle between good and evil? Larger than life figures that rise to the occasion and overcome the odds? Masked men who hide their identities and become symbols? Epic fights between heroes and villains? It's all there on the screen! And the page!

It's also been suggested that Stardust seems to think that Stephen Amell really is the Green Arrow, not just an actor. If the story continues in this direction we could potentially see Amell enter the ring in his Arrow costume. Does that not sound amazing?

WWE fans aren't likely to be won over by stars from Entourage or Jersey Shore. But the fact that Stephen Amell portrays a masked vigilante on Arrow, should be enough for some fans to give him a second look and say "Tell me more." Similarly fans of the TV show who might tune into WWE for the first time to see Amell wrestle, would likely respond more to a theatrical character like Stardust, than a more typical wrestler like The Miz or Bad News Barrett.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
