2. C.M. Punk

So CM Punk isn't active, but he's one guy I am including, for obvious reasons. I'd say, given the work he's done over the past couple of years, he's definitely earned and deserves to main event WrestleMania. He's had to sit and watch The Miz take a spot when he was more deserving, and then The Rock come back and take the spot with Cena for two straight years. Whilst members of management and the locker room might be p*ssed off that Punk has 'taken his ball and gone home', the fact that fans at every event are chanting his name makes their stance very clear. They want the WWE to sort things out, stop making bad booking decisions and get Punk back on TV. Put any superstar in the ring with Punk and he's going to produce a much better match than that same superstar would have with Randy Orton. Or Batista. Or most of the locker room for that matter. Vince might love 6' 5'' monsters but the fans simply enjoy good matches. And at WrestleMania, especially in the main event, they expect the best matches. Well, you get that by having the best workers in the match. Not guys who are chummy with the C.O.O. Will he back for Mania? Who knows, my guess would be no. It's really unclear as to what the situation is with Punk at the moment. We can only hope he can be involved in some capacity at least, but his involvement is always going to add something to the card.
