WWE WrestleMania 30: 10 Ways To Make Orton Vs Batista Interesting

Randy Orton Batista Wrestlemania is the biggest pay-per-view of the year for WWE. It marks the end of the WWE's calendar year, and is supposed to be the culmination of the biggest storylines of the year. It is essentially the Super Bowl of wrestling. As it stands the main event, features a returning Batista, against Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This is more than a serviceable match, between two stars that would have been a great main event six years ago. However, this is not the match that many had expected to headline Wrestlemania XXX. This is the same Batista, who has been gone for over 4 years and immediately upon his return, was thrust into the most covenant spot in the company. The last two Wrestlemanias also saw the main event occupied by part-time wrestler, the Rock facing John Cena. Whereas those previous matches were polarizing, this year's main event sees two men square off in a match that isn't very appealing based on crowd response for both wrestlers. WWE is rightfully concerned that fans will voice their displeasure throughout the match in an attempt to let their voices be heard. The voices Orton hears won't only be in his head. Making for an uncomfortable scene during what is supposed to be the high-point of the year, reminiscent of Wrestlemania XX when Goldberg faced Brock Lesnar and both competitors were booed out of the building. Here I will examine ten ways in which WWE can make a match that seemingly no one wants to see more interesting.
