here. He returned as a clean-cut, John Cena-esque face and fans rejected it. The negative reaction generated by Batista hasn't gone unnoticed by the WWE. Orton even addressed the issue on the 2/24 edition of Raw. WWE has already begun the slow heel turn of Batista. He has returned to having the spotlight shown on him like he had during his last heel run. During the 2/28 edition of Smackdown he cut a heelish type promo. He discussed how he only returned to win the WWE championship and he wasn't concerned with rather or not he was liked. He also discussed how he is the epitome of what a champion should look like and even threw a supposed jab at Daniel Bryan calling him a "195 wannabe." But to complete the heel turn he needs to align himself with the Authority. He began his return by hugging the Authority and acknowledging the history between Triple H and himself. Triple H could get behind Batista because he no longer believes in Orton as the face of the company. A full fledged heel Batista makes for an interesting dynamic in the title match. The goal is to generate some sort of reaction from the fans. The vitriol in that arena would be unlike anything WWE has seen. WWE made the stubborn decision to stick with Batista in the main event so in the words of Batista we just have to "deal with it."
