9. The Shield€™s Match Sets Up Their Next Feud Perfectly

!--> Just a few months ago it looked like WWE were going to split the Shield and they would face off in a marquee match at Wrestlemania. With this in mind it seemed strange when suddenly this plan was nixed just so they could be thrown in a meaningless 6 man tag team match against the 50 year old €˜New Age Outlaws€™ and Kane. It was reported that the only reason this was done was at the request of the Outlaws wanting one last send off against one of the company€™s hottest acts. Most put this down to ego and the Outlaws backstage connections with HHH, yet suddenly after the events of Wrestlemania it looks more like the Outlaws just had more foresight. Complete with awesome Michael Tarver tribute masks, The Shield squashed the Authority in 6 minutes flat. With the way the match was booked and the events of the rest of Wrestlemania, against all odds the Shield€™s most profitable feud may just have emerged. Even though they won decisively the best bet for the €˜Hounds of Justice€™ would be to keep them together and continue to feud with the Authority. Not Kane or The Outlaws however, it is time for them to focus further up the ranks and work a program with HHH. After losing to Daniel Bryan and doing the same again in the inevitable rematch at Extreme Rules. HHH€™s schedule suddenly frees up. Only just recently turned the Shield is not going to immediately turn back heel again, so Cena is out of the question. Batista and Orton look set to feud with each other and with all due respect after last night Brock Lesnar has to be thrown in against the absolute biggest babyface in the company right now €“ Daniel Bryan. To use the old expression The Shield vs HHH and then eventually Roman Reigns vs HHH is what€™s best for business.
