WWE loves their contract signings, and a big program like this would be a great opportunity to have another meeting between the two before they actually face off. This is where the final attack would take place before the match. WWE could even have the contract signing take place at The Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber PPV so they could advertise Rock and Brock Lesnar as appearing without them necessarily being in matches. Whoever is going to win the match would probably be the one taking the hit. If Rock is going to win, then Lesnar puts him through the table they signed the contract on, and vice versa. WWE is kind of predictable that way. They generally have whoever is going to win a PPV match be the one getting beaten during the last appearance before the show. It makes the eventual winner look more vulnerable and the loser like they had a chance at winning in the first place.
