At the Royal Rumble, Dean Ambrose versus Triple H was booked as one of the key exchanges of action. It was actually Hunter who eliminated the Lunatic Fringe, which left the table wide open for the babyface getting revenge in the future. On Raw episodes that followed, there's also been verbal jousting between the pair. There's definitely enough basis for WWE to drop Reigns and go with Ambrose against The Game. Indeed, the exchanges between the two men were very good at Royal Rumble, just as they were when Ambrose and Hunter clashed in the Evolution / Shield feud a couple of years ago. They have a chemistry, they're both of the same type of wrestling ability. When WWE reflect on it, the Ambrose/Hunter exchanges give just as much of a compelling narrative as the Reigns / Hunter exchanges. A change in booking could easily be accommodated.
