WWE WrestleMania 32: 10 Reasons It Didn't Suck

First and foremost, blood would have improved Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar. That much cannot be denied. If one (or both) had spilled claret following some brutal weapon shots, the drama would have been heightened in their 'No Holds Barred Street Fight'.

That said, blood seems to be one issue WWE are not going to budge on. As a PG company, their thoughts are only with appeasing sponsors and appealing to as wide a demographic as possible. That means none of the red stuff. It's not as though the lack of blood killed Lesnar vs. Ambrose either, as they still managed to have a stirring brawl.

Logic dictated that Ambrose had to reference the weapons handed to him in the build up by Mick Foley and Terry Funk. He may not have really connected with the barbed wire bat, or been able to start the chainsaw, but at least the items made an appearance.

For a match working within the limitations of today's product, Lesnar and Ambrose did incredibly well. Fans purred over the number of German Suplexes dished out by Brock, and winced at the sudden landings on steel chairs.
