Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker had a slow pace at times, but both men were clearly trying to tell a story. The continual hand gestures encouraging the other to 'bring it' were welcome, because they added to the idea that each one was trying to outdo the other in front of WWE's largest audience yet.

Arguments bashing the idea that the bout felt unrealistic have no real merit, and people need only explore the history of The Undertaker character for evidence that realism doesn't really apply when talking about him or his matches.

It's all about suspending one's disbelief when it comes to WWE, that hasn't changed even in the modern era.

For what it was, Shane vs. 'Taker delivered a story with a few exclamation points slotted in here and there. Of course, the biggest one came when McMahon took a leap of faith from the top of the Hell In A Cell cage and missed an elbow drop on his rival. That looked positively spectacular.

In the build up to the match, that seemed to be all people were talking about. WWE delivered, so there shouldn't be a problem.
