WWE WrestleMania 34: 10 Things WWE Got Right

1. Beating Roman Reigns

It seemed written in the stars that Roman Reigns would ascend to the Universal Title apex and dethrone Brock Lesnar as the New Orleans crowd crapped all over WWE's moment by booing him out of the building.

Realising this, and likely looking to pen a little swerve fans might remember 'Mania 34 because of, WWE had Brock end Roman's resistance, bust him open and pin him clean in the middle of the ring. For a moment, the SuperDome was shocked by what they'd seen; everyone had prepared themselves to see Roman's ticker-tape celebrations for months beforehand.

It was a smart move to stray from a story fans had already played over a million times in their minds. It's also the best thing for Raw as a brand post-WrestleMania.

Should Lesnar take some time away from WWE to pursue UFC goals, he'll carry that Universal Title around with him as he does it. Meanwhile, Reigns is briefly spared the ignominy of coming out on Raw as the smiling new babyface champ to scathing heat.
