WWE WrestleMania 34: 10 Things WWE Got Right

WWE's refusal to book a predictable Shane McMahon heel turn was another plus point for the match.

This writer was just waiting for Shane to boot Daniel Bryan right in the balls and sow the seeds for a SummerSlam clash between SmackDown Commish and his GM. Once Tom Phillips and crew started wrapping up on commentary and it became clear that wouldn't happen, the sense of relief was pleasing.

There's time to turn McMahon heel for the first time since he returned in 2016. WWE can easily do that over the next month or so on SmackDown.

Had it been booked here, Shane's turn would have encroached on Shinsuke Nakamura's own bitterness and totally ruined the heartwarming sight of seeing Daniel Bryan back in a WWE ring and victorious at WrestleMania.

Sometimes, the best stories are the ones that take time to develop.
