WWE WrestleMania 35: 10 Things That Must Happen
6. The Matches Are WWE's Focus
The Saturday Night Live goofs, Alexa Bliss as hostess with the mostess and Elias as the head musical act is 1000% better than watching Kid Rock flirt with Kelly Kelly or Pitbull eat up precious pay-per-view minutes. Still, and this can't be said enough, it's vitally important that WWE put more focus on the matches than extra-curricular activity.
Nobody wants a 10-minute promo from Bliss welcoming everyone to 'Mania, and few need that mid-show concert from Elias that steals time from matches. There's enough time for everyone if the card is formatted correctly (and it should be, because WWE are notoriously slick in this department).
Aside from Angle vs. Corbin and maybe one or two of the multi-person throwaways, the card can't be stacked full of short, unfulfilling and unmemorable bouts just so there's some comedy or segments elsewhere. This is a wrestling show, after all. The clue's in the name.
WrestleMania.
