3. Kofi Is Obviously Very, Very Over...

For all of the times that WWE have looked at an opportunity to book the winner that the crowd wants as an opportunity to provoke a cheap reaction by NOT giving them what they want, the decision to crown Kofi was the right one. It was inspired, particularly in terms of merch selling.

That's why the end of that match became a shop window. It came off VERY cynically to me, because not only is it a kid selling a t-shirt for his dad, but it's also too close to the result. It breaks the illusion that there was ever any sort of doubt.

But they did it because they knew it dialled into the crowd's appreciation of Kofi (and indeed of the New Day) and it was absolutely palpable how over he is. In fact, if this had bene the main event and everything after was cancelled, it wouldn't have been a bad finish at all.
