WWE WrestleMania 36: 10 Most Likely Outcomes
3. Goldberg Will Remain Universal Champion
A match that could have ended up getting the Sunday main event slot (when neither man won the Royal Rumble and literally nobody wanted to see either outcome happen), Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg for the Universal Championship is no longer happening at WrestleMania - throwing the company's obvious plan for Reigns' 15876567th ascension to the top of the food chain into doubt.
Obviously, it goes without saying that Reigns' health is far more important than any storyline, so it's completely understandable that he's no longer competing at the event in any capacity. But again, however, that storyline was designed for Reigns and only Reigns.
With him reportedly out of the event, whoever Goldberg's new opponent may be will not be taking that gold from him. Not only does WWE need the star-power of big Bill in this post-WrestleMania return-to-normality-without-any-normality era, they'll likely hold out for a time when Reigns can be the one to slay the Fiend-burying part-timer.
And if the reports of Reigns' replacement are true, it's hard to expect the company to take a chance on a superstar they have blatantly continued to bury since he first made his presence felt on the main event scene.
