WWE WrestleMania 37: 10 Awesome Matches That Should Happen (And Why They Won't)
6. Bobby Lashley Vs. Brock Lesnar
It has taken, oh, I don't know, forever, but WWE has finally worked out how to book Bobby Lashley in an effective manner. Despite The Destroyer being quite possibly the definition of the perfect WWE superstar, the largest wrestling promotion in the world seems to have been unable to work out just how to make Lashley the ultimate fighting machine that he was. It wasn't difficult; simply pair him with a credible mouth-piece (in this case, MVP) and have him win matches by being really good at wrestling.
For the first time in Lashley's professional wrestling career, a potential WrestleMania match with Brock Lesnar has become a truly tantalising possibility. Lashley's confidence is growing and Lesnar's has never been lower, in a WWE sense at least. With Lesnar in WWE limbo and Lashley almost too big for the United States Championship he currently holds, putting the two together at 'Mania 37 seems like a no-brainer.
It won't happen, because nobody knows if Brock Lesnar will ever step foot into a WWE ring again. If The Beast Incarnate does return, will he be paired with Lashley? It seems unlikely. With Roman Reigns as credible as he has ever been and Lesnar having theoretical unfinished business with Drew McIntyre (a five minute loss seems pretty conclusive, but there we go), Lashley is further down the line than Brock is likely to move.
