WWE WrestleMania 37: 10 Awesome Matches That Should Happen (And Why They Won't)

4. Drew McIntyre Vs. Sheamus

Many will roll their eyes at the thought of The Celtic Warrior receiving a WrestleMania WWE Championship match at this point in his career, but I implore those same eye-rollers to remember which wrestling promotion we're talking about here. With every passing year, Sheamus has a better chance of adding to his four world titles to date.

He also has a built-in story with current champion Drew McIntyre, a buddy-boy friendship that has finally made its way onto WWE TV in the form of scuffles and pints. This isn't a WWE construction either; the two first did battle inside the squared circle way back in 2005, at an IWW event in Kildare, Ireland. Cynical fans may not approve, but how delightful would it be to see Drew Galloway and Sheamus O'Shaunessy slug it out on the Grandest Stage of Them All?

Why won't it happen? Erm, how do you spell Goldberg? There is a good chance that Big Bad Bill falls short in his quest to dethrone Drew McIntyre as WWE Champion, but never bet against such a thing happening. As one of the most underrated performers in recent company history, Sheamus deserves this moment, but it just isn't his turn. You could say he's next? I'll see myself out.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
