WrestleMania 36 was a bit of a bummer for Rhea Ripley.

Her supershow bow was spoiled by the ongoing pandemic and complete lack of natural atmosphere inside the cosy Performance Center. Further, Ripley looked sorta' second-rate by losing the NXT Women's Title to WWE golden girl Charlotte Flair. Nothing against Flair, but that fan-less 'Mania debut had to suck for Rhea.

This year can be WWE's soft apology. Although Asuka has been solid as Raw Women's Champ since SummerSlam 2020, it's time for a change. Raw's female division really needs a new linchpin star that creative will get behind - similar to how they once leaned on Becky Lynch, for example.

Ripley can be that woman, but only if she comes through and picks up the biggest win of her career on Sunday night. That's not the only thing that needs to happen if WWE want this to be a happier 'Mania experience for the previously-overlooked NXT starlet.
