Result: Austin puts Owens down with the Stunner for the win (13:55).

Rating: Nobody was expecting anything from this but a demolition derby in which Stone Cold played the hits while K.O. bumped his ass off, and that's pretty much what we got, albeit with a little more physicality from Austin than anticipated.

It goes without saying that Stone Cold is miles past his physical prime, so the stipulation and Owens being the workhorse absolutely worked in the match's favour.

Austin didn't become yet another beloved superstar going out with an embarrassingly low-energy final fight, though: he acquitted himself well and went out respectably, even taking a few hard bumps in the process.

Not a great match in any conventional, technical sense, but it 100% delivered what everyone wanted to see, bringing an entertaining first night to a fittingly raucous conclusion in the process. 7/10
