WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

9. The Miz Scores An Upset Win

One gets the impression that Vince McMahon would scoff if someone dared criticise the good name of The Miz. Mike Mizanin is a hard worker, entertaining dude and has defied all the odds to become a credible pro wrestler. He's also a made man in WWE, and will be part of the furniture forever.

That cemented status conveniently means that he doesn't need wins to stay relevant.

In other words, Damian Priest needs to kick the crud out of Miz at Backlash and score a major win that establishes him as a player on Monday nights. The alternative is that McMahon nonsensically decrees that Priest needs to 'battle through adversity' and be humbled before taking his rightful place as a mid-tier babyface sensation.

It'd be a disaster if Miz toppled Damo on Sunday. There's a genuine fear that John Morrison will interfere, cost Priest the win and it'll be revealed that Bad Bunny was the hard nut of the team all along. Without him, Priest struggles.
