WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021: 10 Things That Must Happen

1. But Just Comes Up Short

Cesaro shouldn't win though.

Roman Reigns has been killing it as SmackDown's leading man, and he's not dropping that Universal Title anytime soon. Despite Cesaro's clear wrestling genius, fans will just have to accept the fact that he'll never be "the guy" in WWE. It's impossible to see him beating Reigns at Backlash.

Of course, he should still come close. Cesaro has to give Roman a fright and even fend off The Usos en route to some heartbreaking interference from Seth Rollins. After all, why would a selfish son of a bitch like Rollins stand idly by as Cesaro nearly seizes the moment to become Universal Champ?

He wouldn't.

WWE can squeeze one more match out of Cesaro vs. Seth at Extreme Rules if they're careful. On the way, they can also deal with Money In The Bank (an event that's quickly becoming an annual pest) and maybe drop Cesaro down into the Intercontinental Title picture long-term.
