WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

7. WWE Doubles Down On Madcap

Christ knows where WWE plans to take Madcap Moss next. They haven't changed the man's ring attire since he split from Happy Corbin, and they slapped the defunct Andre The Giant Memorial trophy on him like it was a ticket to the top. In reality, it means nothing to fans.

The same will be said of Moss if he doesn't evolve soon.

This writer has genuine fears that creative plans to double down on his wisecracking nature and turn him into even more of a prankster. That, as anyone who has been paying attention to SmackDown knows, would totally alienate the audience and make them ultra-apathetic to the freshly-turned babyface.

Picture this: Moss comes out dressed as Corbin before his sudden change of luck. Madcap plays a down-and-out bum who "hilariously" mocks his old pal as Michael Cole and Pat McAfee feign giggles. This would be WWE sports entertainment at its crummy worst, but it could happen.
