WWE: 10 Reasons Triple H Is Going To Make A Great Owner
6. His Resume Of Great Matches
HHH has admitted himself that between the ropes he isnt quite at the level of his idols Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels (how many are?). Even so his biggest critics couldnt argue that he has had an overwhelming number of fantastic matches over his career. In WCW his performance level was unbefitting of someone who had barely been in the business two years. Once arriving in the WWE he was putting on standout performances opposite the likes of Mick Foley. Their cage match at Summerslam 1997 for example was one of the highlights of a very strong event. A year later at Summerslam he and the Rock competed in one of the best ladder matches in company history. By 2000 he was as consistently as good as anyone on the WWE roster; on a weekly basis he would produce notable matches against everyone from Taka Michinoku to Stone Cold Steve Austin. There may have been more than a few stinkers along the way but over the ensuing decade he would continue to put on a host of excellent performances; so many its simply too difficult to give them coverage in an article alone. Recent years have seen consecutive Wrestlemania classics against the Undertaker and even now as a part-timer he and Daniel Bryan put on the best match at Wrestlemania XXX. Throughout his time in the business HHH has proven he knows what it takes to put on a great match no matter the context involved. The fact that the current and future crop of WWE superstars will be able to learn from him is definitely a good thing.
