WWE's 10 Biggest Falls From Grace In 2018

5. Samoa Joe

It is the end of 2018, and Samoa Joe STILL has not won a championship on WWE's main roster. That is sinful.

Now, this is not to say that Joe is being booked like a jobber or anything; he's actually been solidified as a legitimate threat and remains one of the top promos in the company. Unfortunately, he just can't seem to win the big one. He started off the year losing to Roman Reigns, getting injured, taking about four months off, then losing to Roman Reigns again at Backlash.

After being traded to SmackDown, he entered a feud with AJ Styles over the WWE Championship. At the time, Joe was the best thing WWE had going - he would eviscerate Styles and his family every single Tuesday night, and it truly seemed as if the mind games would prevail. Of course, they didn't, and Joe would lose to Styles in every encounter they had.

The icing on the cake, though, was when Joe was a member of Team SmackDown in the main event of this year's Survivor Series. In an effort to put Drew McIntyre over as an unstoppable hoss, Joe was eliminated in a measly 35 seconds following a Claymore Kick.

Since then, he has entered a feud with Jeff Hardy, whom he regularly mocks about his past struggles with substance abuse. The feud just doesn't have the same bite to it as the Styles one did though, and it's hard to imagine them putting Joe over Hardy after all this. Let's just hope he can Coquina Clutch his way back to the top.
