6. SummerSlam - Roman Finally Ascends

What Happened: Roman Reigns ends his 1500+ day pursuit of Brock Lesnar by jammily catching the Universal Champ unawares while he was busy ruining Braun Strowman's Money in the Bank cash-in.

Catharsis. That was the prevailing emotion as Reigns at long last wrested Brock's red belt from around his considerable waist. Not for the man himself, but for each and every WWE fan.

This wasn't borne out of admiration for the new champ, but the sense of relief that not only was Lesnar's detrimental absenteeism over, but that so too was the painfully prolonged first act of the Roman Reigns arc. That was Brock finished, and at least, we could all just move on. Or so we thought.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
